Isabel Fortino

Isabel Fortino is a painter, sculptor, and writer who grew up in New Jersey but is now in
Clarksville, Tennessee. Their time near New York inspired them to incorporate more kitsch into their imagery, focusing on bright colors and themes of grief, lost childhood, and close intimacy with those around them. They use scrapbooking, sculpture, and 3D objects to break free from the standard canvas, aiming to add depth to their work. They are working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art at Austin Peay State University, while also helping to run a collective named Silly Soup, featuring fellow Art and Design students, on the side. They helped run Art Club, an official student organization, for 15 months, and served as a secretary for
on-campus events and planning.
